The Map Collection of Antonakis and Laura Georgiades
In 1993 Laura Georgiades decided to donate to the Cultural Foundation the map collection of her late husband, Antonakis Georgiades.
The collection consists of eighty-two items and includes a series of miniature maps of Cyprus originally published in pocket edition atlases of the 16th and 17th centuries.Antonakis Georgiades, lawyer by profession, was a methodical collector and he inspired the founding of the Cyprus Map Collectors' Society (founded in 1976).⬇️
