The Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with the author and educator Florentia Kytheotou, invites you to the second workshop of this trilogy, a journey into the world of the Cypriot vineyard on Sunday 4 May 2025.
Through an interactive presentation and guided tasting of 6 Cypriot wines, participants will learn about the long history of Cypriot wine, the indigenous grape varieties and their unique characteristics.
The program includes:
- Meet the trainer Florentia Kythreotou
- PPT presentation: ‘A brief history of Cypriot wine’
- Introduction to the Cypriot vineyard, the native Cypriot varieties and their special characteristics
- Tasting of six selected Cypriot wines from Cypriot varieties
Florentia Kythreotou is a writer and wine and gastronomy educator with a wealth of writing and extensive experience in the fields of food, culture and education. She holds the international WSET Level 3 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) qualification and is a certified trainer by the Human Resources Development Authority (HRD).
