Educational tour for schools "Cyprus Island" exhibition History - Memory - Reality

Within the framework of the exhibition "Cyprus - Island", on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation launches the educational tour for schools "History - Memory - Reality"

The tour is addressed to children of  Secondary Education (High School) and aims to depict in a modern and interactive way the life in Cyprus from antiquity to the present day, having as its message the non-negotiable unity of the island.

Focusing on time, place and people, through five acts, relationships emerge and narratives are constructed, highlighting aspects of Cyprus' history and contemporary reality that have contributed to the formation of the unified Cypriot insularity.

Modern and interactive technologies were used for the design and presentation of the exhibition, so that, in combination with the rich material from the collections of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, as well as selected exhibits from important public and private collections, attractive narratives and paths were created, which will appeal to all ages. The exhibits include antiquities, objects of popular culture, works of contemporary art, historical maps, rare publications, manuscripts and engravings, printed and digital materials, and a wide range of other exhibits.
