In 2008 Manuel Baud-Bovy, a Swiss architect and Aristea Tzanou Baud-Bovy, a Greek architect donated to the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation their photographic archive of more than 2000 photographs.

The pictures were taken by the two architects in 1962, in the context of a research on the development of tourism in Cyprus, sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs of France and the newly established Republic of Cyprus.

In 2008 the Cultural Foundation and the French Embassy in Cyprus, under the auspices of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, presented the exhibition «1962: A photographic record of Cyprus by Manuel Baud-Bovy and Aristea Tzanou ».

The exhibition presented 220 photographs of various landscapes, villages and monuments from all over Cyprus, as taken in 1962. The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue in Greek, English and Greek, under the same title. The catalogue was edited and published by the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation.
